Grading Policy
Grades are based on the total points earned by the student divided by the total points possible, times 100. The student can earn points on a variety of assignments, most of which are done in class. I will assign projects throughout the year to reinforce concepts learned in class.

Homework Policy
When I assign a project or paper to a student, it is important that they complete the assignment and turn it in by the due date. If this is not possible, the student must see me as soon as possible with an explanation. These instances will be dealt with on an individual basis, and any student displaying a repeated pattern of being absent when projects are due, or when tests or quizzes are given, will not be allowed to make them up. It is not fair to the other students who work hard at getting their assignments in on time.

Test Policy
A student will only be allowed to make up a test if I am contacted by phone by the parent. Notes from home are not acceptable, and you may leave a message in the office for me.

Quiz Policy
A student may only make up a quiz if I am contacted by phone by the parent or guardian. Please leave a message in the office.

Projects
I will assign projects and papers throughout the year, and they will carry a significant amount of points for the student to earn. Missing one of these projects can seriously affect a student's grade in this class.
