33% Five Week Test

33% Ten Week Test

34% Class Participation

 

 

Homework Policy
Mandated Homework includes but is not limited
to Document Based Questions, Constructed Response Questions,
Thematic and Comparative Essay research

Optional Homework is an opportunity for students
to design and create their own history assignment with
instructor collaboration

 

 

Test Policy
Major Examinations ( 5/10 week tests) are
designed to meet and exceed the NYS standards and mirror the
type of questions on the NYS regents.

These tests are corrected on the second day after
the original date ( make-ups may be taken with instructors permission)

 

 

Quiz Policy
Every Thursday a quiz is given correlating to
the weeks class and homework reading assignments; quizzes are corrected on Fridays

 

 

Projects
During the early months of the second semester
an i-movie project is completed in conjunction with library staff

Students are encouraged to submit individual projects as optional homework at their discretion

 

 

Course Outline

The Global History & Geography-10R course
closely follows the NYS standards and includes but is
not limited to the following major periods and concepts:

Absolute Monarchs, Enlightenment, The French Revolution, Industrial Revolution, Imperialism, Militarism, Independence Movements and Nationalism, Capitalism and World Wars, the Cold War and the Corporate State in Crisis
